My name is SONNY – PLEASE ADOPT ME!

Email deb@soidog.org to adopt me

They call me Sonny, I’m 3 years old and I am lucky to be alive.

I’ve lived on the streets of Phuket, Thailand since I can remember. I don’t remember my mum, I only remember constantly looking for food to stop the hunger pains.

Last year I was so sick I thought I was going to die. I was skinny, I couldn’t eat and I had no energy. Some nice people brought me to Soi Dog where they treated me for something called blood parasites. I started to feel better and I went to live in a place where lots of people gave me food.

Just a few weeks ago I had to leave suddenly: some of the local people no longer liked me and wanted to kill me. I have no idea what I did to deserve this.

I have been very lucky that I am now living with a foster carer, but this can only be for the short term as they are leaving Phuket soon. I am a very friendly dog and I walk well on my leash.

I have been told that I have some behaviour issues and the person adopting me needs to have experience with dogs. I need to learn a few manners and learn how to occupy myself when I am home alone. I’d also be better off in a home where I’m the only dog; I like cats except when they try and steal my food.

I really want to find a home of my own where my family will give me cuddles and take me on long walks instead of trying to kill me. Are you the family that I am searching for?

Please adopt me.
