I have been through an absolutely horrific time. Stolen from my happy life and ripped away from my family and friends. I don�t want to remember what happened to me when those horrible men caught me. Locked in a cage with many other dogs crying in pain. How could these people be so cruel. I still wonder why.

My name is Caramel and I am about 5-6 years old. I cannot eat very well, as I do not have all of my teeth. My tongue also hangs out of my mouth a lot of the time.

I live at the Buriram reception shelter in North Thailand for dogs rescued from the Dog Meat Trade which has thousands of dogs. Yes that�s right � there are THOUSANDS of us here. Existing is what many of us are doing as I struggle daily to avoid being picked on by bigger and meaner dogs as there are usually 300 other dogs in a pen.

I want a home and a family to love. I miss getting pats, my own nice food to eat. Now I only get dry food and rarely get pats anymore.

Will you give me a home? Please adopt me. I have been through a lot, but I promise to be the best dog that I can be.

I have heard there are flight volunteers going to Los Angeles and other places, which will make my trip very affordable.
