Selangor State Park and East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) update:

WWF-Malaysia attended a public hearing yesterday on the degazettement of parts of four forest reserves in Selangor for the construction of the EKVE. We submitted an objection letter to the degazettement during the public objection period in March this year. This hearing was a chance to verbally put forward justifications for our objection to a panel appointed by the state government, chaired by YB Puan Elizabeth Wong, the state Exco member for tourism, consumer affairs and environment.
