My name is Dewar. I am a 4 year old girl, a beach dog of Thailand. I was found by some people who were feeding some dogs on a nearby beach. They feed the dogs there regularly and had never seen me there before. They were worried that the resident dogs would attack me for being on their territory and they could also see that I needed medical attention.

I was brought to the Soi Dog shelter, where the vets examined me. I was very skinny and weak. My eyes both had bad discharge and I had cataracts in both. The vets also told me I had mange and a fungal skin infection, which had caused so much of my lovely fur to fall out. As well as all that, an old hip fracture had left me with a limp. I was in a very sorry state.

Since starting treatment here at Soi Dog, I am slowly starting to feel better. I have been moved out of the clinic and into one of the runs, where I like to spend most of my time lying down and chilling out. I do enjoy it when people come to visit me as well though.

They tell me I am a lucky girl who was rescued thanks to a group of Soi Dog supporters called the Emergency Response Team. These kind people live all over the world but care so much about the sick or injured street or beach dogs and cats in Thailand that they send monthly donations so we can be helped.

I know there are still many more out there that need help. I hope that the Emergency Response Team can get more members so that this will happen. Will YOU join the team today and help another dog like me? No amount is too small; every penny helps. Please just click my photo below to get started.
