Hello, I am Shooter, a 4 year old boy rescued from the streets of Phuket. I have been in so much pain recently, after a human tried to hack off the base of my tail. I will never know why they did that; I don�t think I did anything to deserve it.

I was found wandering the streets crying in pain. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon scooped me up and rushed me to the Soi Dog shelter. I was panicking quite a bit when I arrived. I was really not sure who these people were or what they would do to me.

The vets were very kind to me but it was too late for them to fix my tail. The only way they could make things better and take my pain away was to remove what was left of it. They put me on medication to stop my wound getting infected and gave me painkillers so it doesn�t hurt. I am being well looked after now by Dr. Su and Dr. Eugene.

Despite all that has happened to me, I am one of the lucky ones. I was saved by the donations of some special Soi Dog supporters, called the Emergency Response Team. Without them, I would still be wandering the streets in agony.
