CAN YOU HELP SUFFERING DOGS LIKE VITA? PLEASE CLICK HERE

Hello, my name is Vita. You may have previously read about my babies Veni and Vidi, who came to Soi Dog with me. Now I would like to tell you my story.

I have never had a home of my own or an owner to care for me. I was born on the streets of Phuket, Thailand, like thousands of other dogs, and had to fend for myself my whole life. By the time Veni and Vidi were born, I was in a very bad way.

I was struggling with something called sarcoptic mange and a very bad fungal skin condition. I really didn’t know how I was going to look after two new-born babies. I was so skinny and weak and I had lost all my once beautiful fur.

I fought so hard to care for Veni and Vidi, ignoring my own misery. I was so upset when they both started to develop the same skin problems as me. I didn’t want my babies to suffer. It made me so desperately unhappy.

One day, we were all picked up by a man working for Soi Dog and brought to a mobile clinic where the vets examined us all. From there, we were sent to the Soi Dog shelter. That’s when my whole world changed.

I was placed in a quiet area with Veni and Vidi and given food and water. I was given treatment for all my bad skin conditions and Veni and Vidi were treated too. As the weeks went by, my babies went from strength to strength and are no longer recognisable as the sad creatures that first arrived here.

As for me, my skin is slowly improving and my fur is starting to grow back. The vets have told me it will be some time before I am all better but they are doing their best to get me there.

I am telling you my story because I need to thank a special group of Soi Dog supporters. They send monthly donations to save suffering dogs and cats that are sick, injured, abandoned or abused on the streets of Thailand. It is those donations that saved my babies and me. This group is the Emergency Response Team.

If my story does anything, I would like to think that it might save another suffering family like ours. Perhaps YOU can be the one to do that by signing up to join this special team of supporters. You will be changing the world for so many suffering animals and all you have to do is click on my picture to get started.
