WWF-Malaysia works closely with the State Department of Fisheries (DoF) in Melaka in facilitating workshops with egg collectors & Turtle Guardians as well as in providing technical advice and ensuring that licensing conditions and protocols are adhered to.

WWF-Malaysia engages members of the community-based organisation, Hawksbill Eco-Club, as Turtle Guardians in Melaka. We train and support them to enable them to run sustainably financed turtle conservation programmes.
