I am a beach dog of Thailand. This means I don�t have an owner or a home of my own. I was born into this situation and have lived my whole life like this. There are so many of us here. We get by from day to day, scavenging for food and trying to stay out of danger. Danger found me the day I went looking for food in the wrong place and got kicked in the face. My name is Ivory.

I arrived at Soi Dog with a deep wound very close to my right eye. I was terrified and in a lot of pain. I didn�t know where I was; this place was not my familiar beach. I was so scared these people would hurt me too.

I now know I was brought to a good place. I know this because some of the people here are called vets and they show me love and care every day. They are treating my wound and promising to make me better very soon. I am so happy I have finally found out what it feels like to be loved by a human. Now when they come to visit me, I can�t stop wagging my tail and licking them.

They tell me I am only here because of a group called the Emergency Response Team. These are very special people who make monthly donations to Soi Dog so that dogs like me can be rescued.
