I’m MONTY – I’m one of 2,000 survivors from the Horrendous Dog Meat Trade PLEASE ADOPT ME…

Please email cristy@soidog.org for adoption enquires.

My name is MONTY and I now know I am one of the lucky ones. If Soi Dog hadnt saved us all, we would have been SKINNED ALIVE AND BOILED FOR OUR MEAT. People in these other countries eat dog meat. Could you ever imagine such a thing?

I have never known such fear I was taken away from my family and squashed into a small metal cage with many other dogs and taken away on a truck to cross the border to be skinned alive and boiled for our meat.

I am a bigger than normal sized dog and it hurt being in the metal cage with other dogs. Where were these people taking me? Why were there so many of us? I could hear the younger dogs crying with fear as we travelled though the night, the older dogs unable to cope with the stress and heat during the day as we had no food or water in stifling heat. Many died as we drove for 3 days towards the border I will never forget how bad I felt as I could not do anything for them.

Finally we stopped for what felt like a longer time than normal. I heard lots of shouting and felt cages moving underneath me. Why were we being taken off the truck? These people seemed different they were looking at us like they cared and were checking all if we were ok. We were taken to a big shelter built especially for dogs like us that were rescued from the Dog Meat Trade. I have never seen so many dogs.

I am now living at Buriram in North Thailand with thousands of other dogs. This is so different to my familys home everyone fights for food and when it rains there is limited shelter for us all.

I would dearly like a forever home with a comfortable bed, nice food and a family to love me.

Soi Dog want to help me find a forever home so if you have a place in your heart to adopt me please contact cristy@soidog.org.

I have heard great things about the USA, Canada, the UK and Europe and am not fussy I will like to live in any one of these places. My only request is that it is with a family who loves me.

If you can adopt Monty – please email cristy@soidog.org
