I am Jomel, a little four month old boy. My life has been a short one to date and yet I have already experienced more suffering than any dog should in a lifetime. Born on the streets of Phuket, with no home of my own and no owner to care for me, I have known nothing but misery.

Soi Dog found me when I was brought to a mobile clinic with horrendous skin problems. I found out I had something called sarcoptic mange. This had caused my beautiful fur to fall out or go crusty. I was itching constantly and scratching myself non-stop. This meant I had made things even worse for myself but I didn�t understand that, I am only a puppy.

I was taken to the shelter, where the vets promised they would make me better. They started me on medication and already I am looking so much better. I love the humans here; I get so excited when they visit me.

I am only here because of the Emergency Response Team. These Soi Dog supporters mean everything to me for it is their monthly donations that meant the shelter could take me in that day and start my treatment.
