On Sunday, June 2nd, a Soi Dog UK reunion was held in Wakefield, England. The event was a huge success, with adopters and their former “soi dogs” travelling from far and wide.
Many thanks go to Suzanne, Gale and all the Soi Dog volunteers for organising the day. Soi Dog founders John and Gill Dalley travelled from Thailand to attend the event and spoke about how great it was to meet the adopters and be reunited with so many former shelter dogs.
The dogs in attendance ranged from Glory, who was the first ever dog to go to the UK from Thailand, to Madonna (now re-named Maddi) who had only arrived in the UK less than 48 hours before, but appeared totally unfazed by the experience.
Pictured here are Gill Dalley and Milo, a survivor of the 2004 tsunami. Gill described the reunion as akin to winning the lottery 10 times over.
Heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved in the event’s organisation and to the many adopters (and dogs!) who attended.
