Updates On Lilac

Lilac is FINALLY walking on her own now. Her broken leg was repaired by IM-pin insertion, but there was an adhesion between the leg and the hip, so a second surgery had to be conducted to "separate" the adhesion. Even then, she wasn't keen to use the leg.

Today, she is finally walking on her own. At long last!

We are not sure of the ownership of Lilac, but we were approached by a rescuer to help with funds or the owner would have had her euthanised. It was literally a matter of life and death, so we helped. Lilac's surgery was sponsored by us (the euthanasia fee by the owner was converted into a deposit instead, we paid the bulk of it).

Currently, Lilac is being fostered by a rescuer.

I don't know if the owner would eventually take back Lilac but that would be between the rescuer and the owner.

We are glad Lilac is walking now.
