I am a little boy of just over 3 months of age. I was born on the streets of Phuket, Thailand, and for a large part of my very short life to date, I have been in pain. My name is Pek.

When I was a bit smaller than I am now, I got a serious bacterial infection. It was a big thing for a little puppy like me to have to fight off and I didn’t manage very well. The infection gave me a build-up of fluid in my tummy and it hurt me so much. I stumbled around the streets crying in pain but there was nobody to help me.

When I ended up being brought to a mobile clinic being run by Soi Dog, I didn’t know what was going to happen to me. I cried a lot and a vet there picked me up and looked at my tummy. She promised me that day that she would take me back to the shelter and make me better. She didn’t let me down.

She drained the fluid from my belly and then told me she was going to give me medication to make my bacterial infection go away. Now I am a healthy and happy little puppy and I have been told I am ready to be adopted.

I can’t believe how lucky I have been: instead of a life on the streets, I am being given a chance of a loving home. This has only happened because of the Emergency Response Team. They are a special group of Soi Dog supporters, whose monthly donations meant I could be helped when I needed it most.

There are many other pups like me out there but YOU can make sure that they too get helped, by joining the Emergency Response Team today. No amount is too small to help save a life. Please click on my picture to get started. Thank you, from Pek.
