I Want To Help A Dog In Distress Today

I am Lenon. I am a boy of about 5 years of age. For those five years, I have been a street dog, which is exactly as it sounds. I lived on the streets, with no home and no owner. There are many of us who live like this here in Thailand. Every day we struggle to get by, trying to find food, while dodging speeding traffic that could wipe us out at any moment. Many of us get sick and injured; some of us die.

In my case, I developed a very nasty wound on my paw. I cannot remember now how I got it as it has been there so long. When I was picked up and brought to Soi Dog, the vets examined my wound and saw that it was severely infected and full of maggots. This is street dog life.

Since I have been here, the vets are cleaning and treating my wound every day and giving me medication to make the infection go away. I am a little bit scared of them; humans have never wanted to help me before so I am still a bit confused.

The vets told me they are not the only humans who have helped me. There is a group of people called the Emergency Response Team and they are the real reason I am here. They are Soi Dog supporters who live all over the world, in countries far away from Thailand, but their monthly donations mean Soi Dog can go out every day and help animals like me.

I am so happy I got help, but so sad when I remember all the other dogs out there still waiting. Please won’t you sign up to help them today? No amount of money is too small and all you have to do is click on my picture to get started. Thank you.
