Neutering Sponsorship For Houdini, Ex-Sporo/crypto Cat (Susan Ann Bell�s)

Dear Dr Chan,

Houdini has only one trouble spot , close to his left elbow that has not fully healed. The wound alternates from nice, dry and scabby to red and wet.�Possibly due to his vigorous cleaning habits.

I took him to the vet last month, for a check up and the possibility of getting him neutered when he is ready.

Tests on his wound showed no sign of sporo and because he has feline aids they advised to wait a bit more for his wound to completely heal.

He is so fed up and so utterly bored being cooped up for almost a year. He makes these terrible sounds as if he’s being strangled and squawks like a crow very very loudly, and will only let up when I go talk to him and pat him (with gloves on).

I feel so sorry for him, but I want to release him only when he’s completely healed and neutered. I tell him this. Everyday.

I hope you and your family are all well.
Houdini has been neutered and for the second time tests were done on� the wound on� his left leg. Tissue samples from the wound revealed no sign of sporo or cryptococcosis.
Yay!

But� it is a bacterial infection. So the vet has now put him on a course of antibiotics. Hopefully this will help with the healing.
Its taking a long time for his wounds to heal as he also has FIV.
I would like to apply for neutering subsidy for Houdini. I have mailed the neutering form and receipt.
