KITTEN STOPS HIGHWAY FAST LANE: FINDS INSTANT FAMILY
(photos courtesy California Highway Patrol)
A kitten wandering through rush hour traffic on an Oakland, California freeway brought the fast lane to a complete standstill while freeway service workers attempted to free him from the wheel well of a black Saab.
The kitten had run into the wheel well trying to escape a driver who stepped out of the car to attempt a rescue. Drivers were very concerned about the pint sized kitten who was too terrified to be handled.
The freeway service workers were able to eventually secure the kitten and wrapped him in a blanket. Their intention was to take him to the animal shelter, but one motorist offered to take the kitten home. After some discussion with the highway patrol about the love and care the kitten would receive, there was an instant adoption.
