I Want To Help Kaleb And Others Like Him

I am Kaleb. I am an older boy of about 10 years of age and I have been suffering for a long time. I came to Soi Dog covered in something called sarcoptic mange, a type of scabies caused by mites. This had been making me very itchy for the longest time. All my fur had gone and I felt so ugly and sad. I also had a nasty wound at the base of my tail. I was a very unhappy man.

Soi Dog took me in off the streets and told me they would do everything they could to make me better. The vets have started me on treatment and although I am still a bit shy, I am slowly learning to trust them. I am not used to having someone be nice to me; it will take me some time to relax. If Soi Dog had not been able to take me in, my mange would have got even worse. All that scratching would have given me constant open sores and I could have died from infection and high fever. Instead, I have been saved.
