Yes, I Want To Help Dogs Like Kenia

I am a young girl of only 12 months, but already, I have suffered so much pain. In fact, until I was found, I was in agony every day. I could no longer remember a time when it wasn’t so. My name is Kenia and I would like to tell you my story.

I was born on the streets of Phuket, here in Thailand, and have lived my entire life without an owner or anyone to care for me. Every day was spent wandering the streets, trying to find enough food to stay alive. I still don’t know why, but one day, quite some time ago, somebody put a rubber band around my neck.

I was a lot smaller then than I am now, but as I grew, that rubber band got tighter and tighter. I had no way of getting it off and slowly, as I got bigger, the band started to bury itself deep into my flesh. Eventually, it cut my neck so badly that I was left with a large, deep wound. When Soi Dog found me, that painful rubber band was still around my neck. They cut it off immediately and brought me to the shelter. Now my wound is being treated and cleaned regularly and it hurts a bit less with every passing day.

Soi Dog could only help me because of the kind group of supporters that make up the Emergency Response Team. This group’s monthly donations are used to treat urgent cases of sick, injured or abused animals. There are many other dogs like me out there – animals with nobody to help them or speak up for them. Won’t you please join the Emergency Response Team today and help them? No amount is too small and it could be your donation that is used to save the next animal in distress. Thank you.
