DALLAS VETERAN & RESCUER IN NEED OF KINDNESS
Today we’re asking for help for a United States Marine Corps veteran who moved to Dallas, Texas last year. His name is Dan and he’s now in his late 60s and often in pain due to a degenerative spinal condition. Dan lives on a modest disability check and is very isolated, living in a trailer park with no transportation. He has his groceries delivered including dozens of boxes and bags of dog and cat food because he generously feeds the strays in his neighborhood.
It may be a long shot, but we thought we’d see if we could find one or two good-hearted Dallas residents who might be willing to reach out to Dan. It would be nice for someone to call him when the weather is extremely hot and make sure his air conditioning is functioning. (last year he suffered heat stroke when he lost power and wouldn’t leave his animals behind) Or, perhaps someone can invite him out to the mall a few times a year just so he can walk around and be around people.
Dan has several pets and it’s important to know that there is someone who will know if he is ill and be able to make arrangements for those pets. Even if it’s just a 10 minute phone call once a week, that could do a long way.
The address is on Lasaster Street in Dallas. Anyone who may be able to help, please introduce yourself to Dan at his email mr.lee@inbox.com
