My name is Nena. I am a beautiful young girl, only about one year old. I am a Thai street dog, which means I don�t have an owner. My life has been lived on the streets, like many other dogs here in Thailand. Life can be dangerous for us, but it is the only one we�ve ever known.

The danger became clear for me the day I was hit by a car in the south of the island. I was in terrible pain and very frightened by what had happened. When I came to Soi Dog, I was in shock. The vets examined me and could see one of my front legs was seriously injured. I was sent to a specialist hospital to have it x-rayed and treated.

I am now back at Soi Dog to continue getting treatment for my leg. At the moment, I can only walk on my 3 good legs but the vets here are doing everything they can to get my bad leg working again. I am a gentle girl and I am happy to let them help me.
