I am a young boy, just a year old. I am a street dog, which means my short life to date has been spent alone, wandering the streets in search of food, and trying to stay safe. I was managing okay and getting by. I was friendly to the humans I saw but I tried to stay out of their way. I don’t know what I did wrong because the other day, somebody shot me. My name is Swanna.
I was brought to Soi Dog with a gunshot wound in my neck. I was in a lot of pain and I was terrified. The man from Soi Dog who picked me up told me not to worry but I couldn’t stop shaking. Since I’ve been at the shelter, I am slowly healing. The vets come to treat me every day and my wound is getting better. Everyone here is so nice to me; I am slowly starting to trust again.
The man who brought me to Soi Dog told me he was only able to do so because of some kind Soi Dog supporters. These people are known as the Emergency Response Team and their monthly donations are what will help Soi Dog look after me. I am so grateful to these people I have never met and I am asking you to please consider joining them. Together, you will be able to help me get better. Thank you.
