Be Forever Safe At Rainbow Bridge, Batgirl!

We express our deepest condolences to Yoke Mei for the loss of Batgirl.
Batgirl, may you be happy at Rainbow Bridge now.
We also wish to thank our dear friend for offering to take over all four of Yoke Mei’s community cats as Yoke Mei’s neighbourhood just isn’t safe for cats anymore. Despite Yoke Mei’s repeated appeals to her neighbours (through word of mouth and leaflets), they still lay out rat poison.
Batgirl is the fourth cat poisoned in this neighbourhood (at least based on Yoke Mei’s discovery of their bodies). Little Ms Ginny was also found foaming at the mouth and rushed to the hospital, but like Batgirl, she too didn’t make it. Another two were found near Yoke Mei’s rooftop, with blood oozing out from the mouth. Both were found already dead in a pool of blood. Goodness knows if there had been more. One of Yoke Mei’s Calico cats has gone missing (still not found) and a makcik lost 3 cats up the road.
Due to the fear of being poisoned, Yoke Mei kept Didi, a young male cat, locked up in a cage. Our reader offered to take Didi so Didi has a safe forever home now.
We will be arranging to send Yoke Mei’s remaining four cats to their forever home too. We can only hope no new cats will migrate into the colony after this, but how can you stop cats from venturing into a new territory once there is a vacuum?
May we hope that the neighbours will stop laying out poison?
