DOG WITH HEAD TRAPPED IN PIPE IS SAFE NOW

Thank you South Carolina Heroes!

An Oconee County, South Carolina dog who was homeless for at least a year, has finally been caught and relieved of the piece of air conditioning duct that gripped his head for days. Though he was apparently able to eat and drink through the pipe, this was indeed a harrowing experience for this spirited stray.

Pup eventually managed to break free of the pipe and ultimately made his way into the arms of rescuers who used an array of clever traps.

The Upstate Animal Rescue Foundation of South Carolina (https://www.facebook.com/UARSC) and veterinarians Robert Tope and Freddie Axson applied extraordinary efforts to the rescue of this dog, and a companion dog who is expected to be caught imminently. (Photo KELLEY BLAIR/UARFSC)

Animal Rescue Chase

The Great Animal Rescue Chase celebrates the art of animal rescue with a worldwide race to rescue one million. It’s a free event, open to all, and is perhaps the only global animal rescue event aimed at helping any animal in distress, anywhere in the world. Our ambition is to create a culture of enthusiasm and pride in animal activism. We believe in teaching, by example, that there is a hero in each of us just waiting to be unleashed. Empowered animal lovers can not only save lives, but build the momentum for powerful animal welfare reform.
