My name is Bruno and I would like to tell you my story. Back in 2004, a very scary thing called a tsunami happened here in Thailand. It was the most frightening thing I have ever experienced; I saw many tourists and locals and animals die right in front of me. That night, I was dumped outside the Soi Dog shelter. I was all alone and terrified.

Soi Dog took me in and took such good care of me. It is now almost 10 years since the tsunami, a very long time that I have been at the shelter. I used to dream of finding my own forever home, like I have seen so many other dogs here do. I am 11 years old though, and I started to think nobody would want an old boy like me. I was wrong.

Just recently, a lovely lady called Lyn contacted Soi Dog and told them she wanted to adopt me and take me into her home for the rest of my days. Lyn lives in a place called the UK and I simply cannot believe my luck that she has chosen me. I have promised to love her forever and I will never let her down.

The people here at Soi Dog have explained to me that a very generous sponsor has helped Lyn adopt me by donating 50% of the costs to get me to my forever home. I am so grateful to this special person.

Can you help one of the dogs I will be leaving behind? Adopting to the US, Canada or Europe is easy and the people here organise everything for you. My final wish as I leave the shelter would be to see one of my friends leaving too. If you can take one of them into your home, please email cristy@soidog.org and let her know.

Can you give a dog a forever home? Every week Soi Dog sends animals to adopters around the world, including North America and Europe.

These dogs urgently need loving homes and all will make excellent pets.
