I am Popper, a young boy of 3 years of age, who has grown up on the busy streets of Phuket. Every day was a fight for survival, desperately trying to find food and dodging speeding traffic that might wipe me out in an instant. It was the only life I�d ever known, and I�d managed to get by okay. Until the day I was attacked with a machete.

I was left with a massive wound on my head that gradually got very badly infected. I was in agony and so confused. What had I done to deserve this? Soon after that, a man approached me. I was petrified. Was he going to hurt me too?

That man changed my life. His name is Khun Sanae and he is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog. I am now at the shelter, where my wound is cleaned and treated every day. In addition, a tumour was found at the site of the wound and that has now been removed. I have been to hell in recent weeks, but I am well and truly on my way back.

I am telling you my story in the hope that you might help. The people at Soi Dog were only able to pick me up and treat me because of monthly donations from some supporters. Sadly, they need so much more to keep going. There are so many other sick, injured, or abused dogs and cats out there. Please commit to helping Soi Dog save them. Thank you.
