I am Winnie. PLEASE ADOPT ME.

Hi, my name is Winnie and I’m almost 12 years old. Even though I have a girl’s name, I am a boy. I came to the shelter because I had a really bad skin condition and a nasty ear infection.

I’ve been at the shelter for 1 year and 9 months now and Khun Yen looks after me very well. She feeds me every day and gives me a bath every week so I smell really nice. Then there’s Darren, a long term volunteer who also takes good care of me. He takes me for a walk every day around the lake. Darren is really patient with me as I like to take my time walking around the lake because I’m getting on a bit.

I’m really affectionate with Darren and the other volunteers. When I get to know volunteers, I want to lick their faces when I see them. I look like a big teddy bear so I get lots of cuddles. I get on well with the other dogs in my run but I can be a bit grumpy when I’m on my walk and can sometimes growl at the other dogs. A home where all the love is just for me would make me really happy.

I would love to spend my senior years with someone who’ll take me for leisurely strolls around the park and then let me chill out for the rest of the day in a comfy bed. Are you that person? If so, PLEASE EMAIL deb@soidog.org for more information.
