Injured Merrit Saved From Ongoing Pain
Tweet |
My name is Merritt. I am a young boy of just 9 weeks old who has already known so much suffering. I was found in the south of Phuket island, close to a large supermarket, after I’d been hit by a car. This happens a lot in Thailand as there are so many of us street animals who don’t have owners to look after us.
When I got to Soi Dog, I was very scared and in a lot of pain. The vets examined me and saw that one of my back legs was fractured and I couldn’t walk on it. They are now treating me and have given me medication to stop the pain. They say they will be keeping a very close eye on me and hope that my leg will recover and that I will be able to walk on it again.
I found out that I am only here because of the Emergency Response Team. These are people just like you, who live all over the world, but want to help the street cats and dogs of Thailand. Without them, I would still be lying in the street with a broken leg and in agonising pain. Won’t you please sign up to help other animals like me today? Visit http://bit.ly/1k01m8D to find out how.
