From Near Death To Recovery: Meet Asuka And Asumi

We are Asuka and Asumi, two little girls just 8 months old, whose lives have been saved by Soi Dog. We were living near a construction site here in Phuket, Thailand, but we wouldn�t really call it living. We both had problems with our legs, which meant we were unable to walk or stand up. We hadn�t eaten for many days. We were weak from starvation and in terrible pain. No, we weren�t living; we were dying.

We were picked up by Animal Rescue Officer, Khun Jaroon and brought to Soi Dog. After a few days of being treated by the kind vets here, we are starting to walk again. We are given all the food and water we need and somewhere safe to sleep. The vets say they hope we will be completely better soon.

We have never known care like this but we�ve been told we would still be lying by that construction site, unable to move and slowly starving to death, were it not for the Emergency Response Team.
