After A Shaky Start In Life, Masala Gets Some Very Good News

Hello, I am Masala. I am a little girl of about 6 months of age. I arrived at Soi Dog from a mobile clinic when I was just 5 days old, along with my Mum and my siblings, Baji, Jalfrezi, Samosa, Madras, and Popadom. If you have not met us yet, you can read our original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.628901067151632.1073742431.108625789179165&type=3

My Mum was a street dog with no owner, which meant she had nobody to help her take care of us. She was struggling a lot to take care of us and was very skinny. If we had not been taken to the shelter, we would have probably died.

At the shelter, Mum was given a quiet space with us, so she could look after us in peace. The vets examined us all and said we were pretty healthy, considering what we had been through. Under our mother’s care, we got bigger and stronger and when we were old enough, we were moved into the puppy run. Shortly after that, Baji, Jalfrezi, Popadom and Madras were adopted, leaving just me, my Mum (her name is Korma) and my brother Samosa. I said goodbye to my siblings as they left one by one for their new homes, and I hoped that one day it would happen for me too.

Last Saturday, Soi Dog held something called an Open Day at their shelter in Phuket, for people to come and visit and meet all of us animals who are looking for homes. That day, a lovely couple called Scot and Donna told me they wanted to adopt me and give me my own forever home. Finally, my turn had come and I felt like the luckiest dog in the world.

My Mum Korma and my brother Samosa are still at Soi Dog and still hoping for their own homes. Can’t you help one or both of them? The people at the shelter told me it is really easy to adopt a dog, even if you live far away in the US or Canada or Europe – Soi Dog do everything for you! Please adopt one of my friends or family!
