My name is Rinko. Im sure you remember me because Ive popped up here quite recently, but just in case we havent met yet, youll find my original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.692448367463568.1073742814.108625789179165&type=1
Ive been at Soi Dog since a staff members friend spotted me at a beachside bar. She noticed that I was having terrible problems trying to stand and walk on my two back legs. I was suffering enormously. The nice lady made a call and before long, I was picked up by Khun Jaroon. He is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog.
The vets at the shelter examined me and saw that I had some very bad wounds on my back paws. This was making it impossible for me to stand or walk without feeling a lot of pain. The vets also did an x-ray and saw that I had some old fractures on my legs, which might have been the cause of my trouble. They told me there were problems with the nerves in my paws, which meant I would never stand or walk like a normal dog. The vets promised they would help me.
They made me some very special cast shoes, which meant I could start to walk and stand without pain. This has changed my life and I thought I couldnt be happier. I wasnt expecting what happened next. A lovely lady called Heather got in touch with Soi Dog and said she wanted to adopt me.
Heather lives in a place called Seattle, in the USA, and she has promised to get me all the vet care I need there. She also has a very big yard I will be able to play in I am the happiest dog at Soi Dog today.
Ive been told that adopting from Soi Dog is very easy, even if you dont live in Thailand. The people at the shelter take care of everything. I am leaving many dog and cat friends behind here, and they are hoping that one day they too will get their own forever homes. If you can help one of them, please visit http://bit.ly/SGTUWa and email cristy@soidog.org
