Odin And Family Need Your Help

Hi, I am a boy called Odin and this is my brother Omega, and our two sisters, Olympia and Ostara. Life has changed a lot for us recently and I would like to tell you our story.

We had a lovely owner who took very good care of us but recently, the doctors told her she had something called cancer. This meant she had to go to live in a hospital and could not look after us anymore. We were very scared when we were told this. Who would look after us and give us food and water? Who would cuddle us and play with us?

Soon after that, we were picked up in a car and taken to a place called Soi Dog. I was worried at first – would we be surrounded by big, scary dogs? Would we be the only cats there? It turns out that Soi Dog looks after cats too and all four of us were placed together in a place called the Cat Suite. There are some other cats in there that we have made friends with.

It is easier for some of us than others here. My brother Omega and my sister Ostara love it when the humans come to visit. They run to them to be picked up and cuddled. My sister Olympia is not so keen. She likes to stay sitting as high as possible and is not yet ready to mix with the humans she doesn’t know. You’ll see her hiding behind me in one of these pictures. As for me, I am a little bit scared, but I try to be a big boy. I will let a human sit beside me and stroke me. I like to have my chin scratched too and I sometimes start purring, which seems to make the humans happy.

The people are kind to us here and we have all the food and water and toys we need, but it is not a home. We miss having our own home. We miss having an owner. We hope that one day, some nice people will come to adopt us; we have seen it happen already with some of the other cats here. We don’t even have to go to the same home; we can be just as happy in separate homes.

One of the nice humans who comes to pat my head and scratch my chin told me that we are only here because of something called the Cat Care Club. They are a group of lovely people who help Soi Dog take care of cats like us. The human told me they need more people to join the Cat Care Club. If you can do that, please visit http://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-cat/?source=odin-1-FBO to find out more. And if you can adopt me or one of my siblings, please email cristy@soidog.org
