PET THERAPY FROM YOUR ANIMAL COMPANIONS
Having a companion animal, like a dog, cat or even a smaller animal (like a hamster), does provide many therapeutic and health benefits.
Our companion animals can ease loneliness, reduce stress, promote social interaction, encourage exercise and playfulness, and provide unconditional love and affection.
Caring for a pet may even help you live longer, according to many recent studies exploring the benefits of the human-animal bond. The American Heart Association, for example, has linked the ownership of pets with a reduced risk for heart disease and with greater longevity.
Take heart that there is a potential companion animal awaiting your adoption, in the SPCA shelter! If youre ready for the lifetime commitment, come adopt one of our cuddly and friendly animals, showcased here: http://www.spca.org.sg/services.asp?cat=1
With all these benefits, youre also doing yourself a great favour!
