Happy Coco In His Forever Home

Hello, Im Coco! If you havent heard my story yet, you can read how it started here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.640705809304491.1073742490.108625789179165&type=1

I came to the shelter from Patong, one of the busiest tourist areas on the island of Phuket. I am about 17 years of age and had lived my whole life outside a bar there. The owner of the bar was very kind and fed me every day. She had also seen a man kicking me every time he passed me and she was worried about me. My eye sight was not very good because of my old age and I kept bumping into people. The owner of the bar wondered if maybe that was why the man would kick me, but I really did not mean to be annoying. One day a tourist saw him kick me as well and she contacted Soi Dog.

Animal Rescue Officer Khun Sanae rushed to get me and I was taken away from that street with the horrible man. The vets at Soi Dog examined me and said that I could still see shadows so I was not totally blind. They also said I was a little bit fat (that bar owner lady had fed me well!) and so they put me on a low calorie diet to get me to a healthier weight.

I was well cared for at Soi Dog but I sometimes dreamt of having my own forever home like so many other lucky dogs out there. Imagine my joy when a lovely man called Simon said he wanted to adopt me. Simon lives locally so I didnt have too far to travel and I am now with Simon and his wife in my own forever home. I love going for walks and I like to follow Simon around just to show him how happy I am that he has given me a new life.

If you would like to adopt a dog (or cat) from Soi Dog the whole thing is quite easy. You can visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=FBO_coco2&utm_campaign=adoption to find out more and please get in touch if you can help.
