Miracle Dog Maisie Surrounded By Love

Hi there, Im Maisie, although you might remember me as Taurus. If you never met me, you can read my original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.651342484907490.1073742564.108625789179165&type=3

I came to the shelter after being dumped at a temple by my owners. I was confused and scared and I really didnt know what Id done for them to just leave me there and drive away. One day, a horrible person attacked me and stabbed me in my eyes. I was in a lot of pain and very scared. Some nice local people tried to help me and they called Soi Dog and Khun Thep came and got me.

The vets at the shelter examined me and saw that my right eye was missing and I was nearly blind in my left eye. Dr Greg did something called an eye lift, in order to try to save my eye. After the operation, he took very good care of me every day, checking my eye regularly and giving me medicine so I wouldnt get any infection or feel any pain. Under his care, the sight in my eye was saved and I soon started to feel better.

Once I was fully recovered, I was moved into a dog run, where I had lots of new friends to play with. I got cuddles from everybody and was very happy with my new life. It was then that the miracle really happened for me. A lovely man called Clive told me that he was going to adopt me and give me a forever home. Now I live with Clive and his other dogs they are all Bassett Hounds just like me. Here you can see some pictures of us hanging out together; we have so much fun!

Ive come a long way from my days wandering around the temple lost and scared. I have left many dog friends behind at the shelter and they all hope that one day they too will find their forever homes. Ive been told its quite easy to adopt a dog (or cat) from Soi Dog, so I hope someone out there will take one of my friends home. If you want to be that person, please see http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/?source=maisie-1-FBO for more information and get in touch if you can help.
