Brave Jacks Transformation From Hurt To Healing

Hi, Im Jack. Youve probably seen me recently on Facebook but if not, you can read my original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.690204557687949.1073742802.108625789179165&type=1

I came to Soi Dog after Animal Rescue Officer Khun Thep spotted me in the course of his duties. I had a very large hole on the side of my nose so I was immediately taken to the shelter so the vets could have a look at me.

They told Khun Thep that the hole was caused by a big tumour in my mouth. It was causing me a lot of pain and the vets said I also had anaemia. The anaemia meant I wasnt strong enough for them to operate on the tumour straight away so they put me on medication to help me build up my strength and improve my blood.

When the day came for them to remove the tumour, there was a big power cut and no electricity for hours at the shelter. Dr.Eed had to do my operation while wearing a head torch and she did such a good job. She got that horrible thing out of me and already I am feeling and looking so much better.

Every day, the vets check on me and clean my wound. They give me painkillers too so it doesnt hurt me. Sometimes Im not in the mood to be treated but I am starting to trust the vets a little bit more every day. My wound is healing well and everyone at Soi Dog hopes I will make a full recovery.

I am getting the care I need thanks to the Emergency Response Team. Without them, I would still be living in horrendous pain and what makes me sad is that so many other dogs still are. Please consider helping them by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html and joining the team today.
