ANIMALS IN UKRAINE EATING UP YOUR DONATIONS

“Yesterday we brought food to the shelter from the money sent by Harmony Fund,” Shelter Kiev SOS Founder Tamara Tarnawska said. “This will be enough to feed all the cats for a month. As for dog food, we bought a little and it will be feed only enough to feed old dogs.”

“We have no money to buy dry food for 1,200 dogs and 255 cats and instead have to cook for them different porridge with meat. Embassies of America, Austria and Germany helped me to make an agreement with supermarkets from their countries (based in the territory of Kiev) who now give our shelter free meat products whose term ends or they sell us meat and sausages at a significant discount. We buy grains from farmers . Of course, it would be much easier to feed animal with dry food and canned food, but our finances

do not allow for this.”
