No More Pain For Handsome Jack

My name is Jack. You may remember me but if not, you can read my original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.690204557687949.1073742802.108625789179165&type=1
I came to the shelter with a large hole on the side of my nose. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Thep noticed me while he was out on duty and knew immediately that I should be seen by the vets. When they examined me, they realised that the hole had been caused by a big tumour in my mouth. I was so glad when they found this tumour because it had been causing me a lot of pain.
The vets tested me and found that I also had something called anaemia, which meant they needed to treat that first and wait for me to get a bit stronger before they could operate on the tumour. They put me on medication and made sure I got plenty of rest so my energy started to come back. The vets operated on me yesterday and removed the horrible tumour.
Dr. Eed is a great vet because she had to operate on me during a long power cut when there was no electricity here at the clinic. You can see her in the pictures using a head torch so she could see where that tumour was and remove it safely. I am so grateful to her.
Now the tumour is gone, the vets hope I will make a full recovery. I am one lucky dog that owes everything to the Emergency Response Team. Without them, I would never have come here and my tumour would have got a lot worse. You can help other dogs and cats like me by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html and joining the team today.
