A Dream Come True For Little Maruko

Hello, Im Maruko. If you havent met me yet or you missed my original story, you can read it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.656731584368580.1073742606.108625789179165&type=3

I came to the shelter with a broken leg, having been hit by a car. The lovely vets here tried to save my leg by doing a special operation and inserting a pin to help my injuries heal. They made sure I got plenty of rest, which was a bit boring as I really just wanted to run around. In the end, the pin didnt work because my injury was too bad and the vets decided that the best thing would be to remove that silly leg that wasnt working and let me run around with my three good legs. I was pretty happy about that as all that resting was getting very dull.

The operation to remove my bad leg went very well and afterwards the vets took very good care of me. They gave me tablets so I wouldnt feel any pain and they also gave me some antibiotics so the wound from my operation would not get infected. When I was well enough, I thought I would be going to live in the small dogs run, but I was in for a big surprise when I was moved into the hotel run. I was a bit confused until Khun Phew explained why this had happened.

The reason I am living in the hotel run is that my dream came true and a lovely lady called Lynn has said she wants to adopt me. Lynn is from a country called England and I will soon leave the shelter to be with her forever. I am so lucky and I wish the same thing would happen for all the dogs in the shelter. If you would also like to adopt a dog (or a cat) from Soi Dog, they tell me its pretty easy. All you need to do is visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more and if you would like to adopt you just need to get in touch.
