Orphaned Puppies Fight To Survive

Hello, we are Athos and Porthos and you can read our original story here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.680071112034627.1073742740.108625789179165&type=1
We were brought to Soi Dog, along with our brother Aramis, after our Mum died giving birth to us. As we were so tiny, it would have been too dangerous for us to remain at the shelter. Being such small babies, we couldn’t be exposed to any germs or illnesses that we were too young to fight off. This meant we were sent to stay with our foster carer, Khun Mia. Unfortunately our brother Aramis didn’t make it, but slowly, the two of us started to thrive under Khun Mia’s care.
When Khun Mia had to go away on holiday, we were taken in by Soi Dog staff member Reggie. She really looked after us well, which wasn’t an easy job – babies as small as us need care around the clock! We had to be bottle fed as we were too small to eat for ourselves. This had to happen day and night in order for us to survive and grow. Thanks to Reggie, we started to build up our strength and could be very noisy at feeding time!
We are both only here today because of the Emergency Response Team. Without a Mum to care for us, we wouldn’t have survived had they not saved us. You can do the same for other babies in our situation by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html and joining today.
