Binky Recovers From Horrific Pain Due To Mouth Abscess

I came to the shelter when animal rescue officer Khun Jaroon found me lying at a local temple, with a badly swollen face. The person looking after me at the temple had no idea what was causing it but when the vet examined me, she found that I had a large abscess in my mouth. This was not only giving me a very swollen cheek, mouth and chin, it was also causing me a lot of pain. The kind vet drained the abscess and gave me medicine to stop it hurting.

I was put on antibiotics to stop any infection and the vets are keeping a very close eye on me. Now that the abscess has been drained, they are treating the wound every day. I am not always in the mood to cooperate, but you�ll see from these pictures that I am looking a lot better! I am a very pretty girl and I hope that one day my face will return to normal.

I am happy to be at Soi Dog because without their care, the abscess would have got bigger and more painful. It would have become badly infected and I might have died from blood poisoning.
