RESCUED FROM HOARDER & LOOKING FOR LOVE: Several weeks ago, my friend Laurence rescued 12 cats from a horrible hoarding situation in Clinton. The cats were kept in a small, filthy room with nothing but a urine saturated mattress on the floor. None of the cats were fixed, so females were going into labor with nowhere to hide from fighting males. The woman was feeding them bowls of macaroni noodles for food. Most of the cats had spent their entire lives in that room, so when they found freedom, everything was terrifying to them. We are currently trying to place Gideon the most fearful of the group and may never let someone pet him, but if anyone would let him co-exist in their home, you would be giving him a chance he never had.
