Hi, my name is Safari Sam. If you missed my original story, you can read all about it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.676315469076858.1073742713.108625789179165&type=3
I came to the shelter from a mobile sterilisation clinic being run by Soi Dog. The vets there had seen there was a problem with my eye and diagnosed TVT (a form of cancer that spreads between dogs), which had caused a tumour in my eye and another tumour on my penis. I was in a pretty sad state even without these tumours some of my teeth were missing, my skin was bad and I had anaemia.
The vets started me on chemotherapy for the tumours and gradually, my eye started to feel better, although the vets dont believe I will get my sight back in that one. They stuck a cone on my head too it makes me feel a bit silly so please try to ignore it when you look at these latest photos of me. Apart from the cone, I think youll agree I am looking so much better!
It is thanks to the Emergency Response Team that the Soi Dog vets could give me the treatment I need. Without them, I would have continued to suffer as my tumours remained untreated. Please help other dogs in my situation to receive the vital care they need to survive visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html to join the Emergency Response Team.
