Basho Bounces Back From Neck Wound & His Future Is Looking Bright

Hi, its Basho here. If you have missed my previous stories, you can read about how I first came to Soi Dog by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.683103748398030.1073742760.108625789179165&type=3

Life has been very confusing for me the last couple of weeks. Some horrible person cut me on my neck and then I was dumped at a temple. I was so frightened, especially as there were other dogs living there already and they didnt make me feel very welcome. I was then picked up and put in a truck by a man named Khun Thep. I didnt know where he was taking me or if he was going to hurt me, but we soon arrived at the Soi Dog clinic and the vets assured me that no one was going to hurt me again and that they were going to make me feel better.

I had to stay in the clinic for some time while my wound was treated. I had a bit of an infection so I had to have some medicine for that. I am feeling much better now and while my wound is not fully healed yet, I do not have to stay in the clinic anymore.

I am now resting in a special place called the hotel run and am being looked after by Khun Phew, who came to collect me from the clinic the other day. She told me that I have come to the hotel run instead of the treatment runs because someone saw my story on Facebook and have decided to give me a home. I am going to live with a nice lady called Jenny in a place called the UK. I am not going to be able to leave for another three months or so, but I am really excited. I know I am very lucky to have been adopted so quickly and I am so relieved and grateful.

I am also very grateful to the people who are part of the Emergency Response Team. These people have helped me get better and have given me a second chance at a happy life. Without them, I do not know what would have become of me. If you would like to become a member of this team and help many animals like me, you can visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html to join today.
