Rover Finds A Loving Home With Long Term Soi Dog Supporters

Hi, its Rover here. Its been a while since I stopped by to say hello, so if you dont know me, you can read my original story by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.650689678306104.1073742560.108625789179165&type=3

I came to Soi Dog when I was attacked by a horrible man with a knife and ended up with a horrible wound on my shoulder. Lots of people tried to help me, but I was scared they were going to hurt me too so I ran away from them. Eventually I got trapped in someones yard and they called Soi Dog to come and get me. I am so glad that happened because they made things much better for me. I spent a lot of time in the clinic and then moved to the B1 run, but I didnt stay there for long.

The reason I didnt stay in the B1 run was because I made a very special friend named Alison. She and her husband Clive has been supporters of Soi Dog for a very long time and have been coming to the shelter a lot lately. Alison would come and give me walks and we really became good friends. Lucky for me, Clive wasnt too jealous and he also thinks I am pretty great. A few days ago I got to go home with them. It was the best day of my life!

Alison and Clive have decided that the name Wilbur suits me better, so I am now known as that instead of Rover. I love living with Clive and Alison and their three teenagers, they are all lovely and so kind to me. I also have 5 new doggie brothers and sisters and they have all accepted me as part of the pack, as has their cat. I now have a lovely yard to play in and I love going for walks down the beach where I really like the sand and the water. I have to admit though, my favourite thing is the chicken treats that Clive keeps in his pocket, they are so tasty.

I am such a lucky dog to have been adopted by Alison and Clive and to be part of a real family. If you would also like to adopt a dog (or a cat) from Soi Dog its pretty easy. All you need to do is visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more and if you would like to adopt one of the other rescued dogs and cats in the shelter, please contact cristy@soidog.org
