Binky Begins To Recover From Horrific Mouth Abscess

Hi, my name is Binky. In case you didnt catch my original story, you can read it at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.683595025015569.1073742763.108625789179165&type=3

I am lucky considering I am a street dog. I have someone who regularly feeds me. They noticed that I had a very swollen face, so they told animal rescue officer Khun Jaroon from Soi Dog about it and he picked me up and took me to Soi Dog for treatment.

When I arrived at the Soi Dog clinic I was seen by Dr Sai and she saw that my cheek, mouth and chin were all swollen because I had an abscess in my mouth. She gave me a needle and drained the abscess. Lucky they gave me the needle first so I couldnt feel what they were doing to me! I was also given some medicine so the infection caused by the abscess would get better.

I am so happy to be able to tell you that I am starting to feel better and the swelling is going down. I am even able to eat some food without too much pain. I am so relieved as I thought the pain would never go away. I am now in the treatment runs recovering and making friends with some of the other dogs who are here getting treatment.

I am so grateful that the person who feeds me told Khun Jaroon about me and to Dr Sai for making me feel better. I am also very thankful to the members of the Emergency Response Team. Dr Sai says without the help of this team, she wouldnt be able to treat the street dogs in Phuket who need it. If you would like to help dogs like me, you can also join this team. To do so, please visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html and join today.
