WWF-Malaysia Marine Programme: Deep Dive To Protect Our Magnificent Ocean

Malaysia is a treasure trove for marine life surrounded by Andaman Sea, Straits of Malacca, South China Sea, Sulawesi Sea and Sulu Sea. Lying under these large bodies of water is an astonishing and largely unexplored world of coral reefs and marine creatures.

Yet, these marine lives face various threats and WWF-Malaysia’s Marine Programme works to address and mitigate these threats by focusing on protecting and conserving marine and coastal ecosystems in the most critical areas in the country – the seas off Melaka, Terengganu, Kudat and Semporna, whilst working closely with local communities, community groups, the private sector and local governments.
