Basho Receives Care After Being Dumped With A Cut On His Neck

Hi, my name is Basho. I came to Soi Dog recently after being found dumped at a temple. If you missed my first story, you can read it at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.683103748398030.1073742760.108625789179165&type=3

I was really scared when I was dumped at the temple. Some mean person cut me on the neck and then dumped me there. I really don’t know why this happened to me, I don’t think I did anything wrong. I was so scared at the temple as there were already some dogs living there and I was frightened of them. Lucky for me, some nice people saw me there and were worried about me so told Soi Dog about me and they sent Khun Thep to come and see me. Khun Thep is an animal rescue officer and he decided because of the wound on my neck, that I needed to go to the clinic for treatment.

Dr Eed examined me as soon as I arrived and she could tell that my wound was infected, so she gave me medicine to try and fix the infection. I am seeing here every day as she needs to keep an eye on my infection and also needs to clean my wound. The wound still doesn’t look very good, but the infection is getting better and I will keep having medicine until the infection has totally gone away.

They are taking very good care of me here at Soi Dog and I am eating much better compared to when I first came in. I have been told that I am being helped by people who are part of the Emergency Response Team. I would like to say thank you to those people as I have been told that without them, Soi Dog would not be able to help dogs and cats like me who need it. If you would like to become a member of this team and help many animals, you can visit https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html to join today.
