Taurus Is Loving Life With Her New Family

Last week, we were thrilled to see Taurus (now named Maisie) go to her new home with Bruce and Clive. If you are not familiar with her story, please visit https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.651342484907490.1073742564.108625789179165&type=3

Clive has been wonderful in sending us photos and an update on how Maisie is settling in. Clive says “It’s hard to believe Maisie has only been with us for 48 hours, as she has already settled in as part of the family. I definitely have a shadow! She is such a sweetheart and has a big personality. Our other Bassets (Byron, Gracie, Dixie and Annie) have welcomed her into the family very well, and she frequently tries to get them to play. She has enjoyed our morning walks to the beach and keeps close tabs on where we are at all times and has met most of the small community of fellow dog owners and their families. She is a gem and fits right in, tail wagging constantly, and even a bit chatty….in other words, just being a Basset. We’ve noticed she doesn’t know how to climb stairs, or suspect she has some depth perception issues (we have to help her get her back end up the trail from the beach, which is no worries we have two others that often need help also due to their age. So she gets carried up stairs to have her afternoon air conditioned nap with the others! I can’t thank Soi Dog enough for all the care and attention you provided to Maisie and allowing us to have her as part of our family”.

Thank you Clive and Bruce for providing such an amazing loving home for Maisie. Words cannot describe how happy we are to see how well she is doing.

If you would also like to adopt a dog (or a cat) from Soi Dog it’s pretty easy. All you need to do is visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more and if you would like to adopt one of the other rescued dogs and cats in the shelter, please contact cristy@soidog.org
