Taurus Leaves The Shelter To Go To Her New Home

Hi, my name is Taurus. I have great news to share, but just in case you havent heard of me before, you can find out more about me by visiting https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.651342484907490.1073742564.108625789179165&type=3

I came to Soi Dog after the family who thought I loved me dumped me and left me to fend for myself. I was struggling on the streets and then some horrible person stabbed me in the eyes. Lucky for me, I was found by animal rescue officer Khun Thep and brought to the Soi Dog shelter for treatment.

I had to spend a lot of time in the clinic at the shelter while the vets treated my eyes and thanks to their great work, I can still see a little bit. Once I had recovered I moved to one of the main runs with the other dogs but my stay there was very short.

Heres where the fantastic news comes in..I have been adopted!! Yesterday my new owners, Bruce and Clive, came to the shelter to take me to their home. They gave me a nice new purple collar and told me I was going to live with four new sisters and one brother and they are all Bassett Hounds like me. I was so excited! They have even given me a new name which is Maisie. I really like my new name. I think it suits me. After some belly rubs from the Soi Dog staff I was off to my new home.

I will ask Bruce and Clive if they could please email the people at Soi Dog to let them know how I am doing and hopefully they will pass that on to you all.

If you would also like to adopt a dog (or a cat) from Soi Dog its pretty easy. All you need to do is visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more and if you would like to adopt one of the other rescued dogs and cats in the shelter, please contact paula@soidog.org
