Kontiki Is Loving Life Getting Special Attention From Volunteers

Hi, my name is Kontiki. You may not remember me as its been a very long time since I stopped by to say hello. You can read my original story at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.609675049074234.1073742326.108625789179165&type=3&uploaded=6

It has been a long road for me. I originally came to Soi Dog when I was rescued from a labour camp with a very badly injured paw. I had been caught in a snare and the blood flow had been cut off to my foot. The vets did everything they possibly could to help me, but unfortunately the infection in my foot was so bad and it was spreading into my leg so the best thing for me was an amputation. I was so scared about this, wondering how I would survive with three legs, but I am pleased to report that I am doing just fine.

I am now living in the A2 run at the shelter and being cared for by Khun Dao. She is amazing and loves us dogs so much. I am also enjoying the company of volunteers, who come into A2 and spend time giving us pats and cuddles and they also take us out for walks. Even though I now only have three legs, I love going for my walks. I love spending one-on-one time with the volunteers and I really like having a rest next to the lake.

Life has really improved for me in recent months and while I would love a home of my own someday, I know I am well looked after and will be happy at Soi Dog. It is only because of the members of the Emergency Response that I was able to be helped. This team helps to provide the urgent treatment to dogs like me. If you would like to join this team to help dogs and cats get the urgent treatment they need, you can join today by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
